Our Story
I got the idea to start making candles while living in a cabin in the woods on a mountain in Colorado. This cabin had no electricity so in the long, cold, Colorado winters I burned A LOT of candles. Burning candles in my tiny cabin often gave me head aches and itchy eyes. When I learned that these symptoms can be caused by the toxins found in candles made with petroleum based waxes and scented with synthetic fragrances I set out to make my own all natural, non-toxic, environmentally friendly, candles.
My candles begin with a base of ONLY U.S. grown, non-GMO, soy wax. The wax is then scented with ONLY pure essential oils. This mixture is hand poured into containers that are made in the U.S., or in the case of the recycled wine bottles, the containers are reclaimed. The wicks are made from only cotton.

Pedro is our unofficial candle inspector.
He visits us at the cabin when he feels like it to get free sniffs or watch us work, and seems to generally just enjoy hanging with us at the cabin.
